Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton High School's advanced metal sculpture class has created artwork for area sculpture walks for many years. All the sculptures have been designed, created, and welded by students. The students have guidance from their teachers, but they also enjoy the opportunity for independence in this class. Since the first year this sculpture class was held, the number of students has doubled. With an increase of students, compromising on an idea can be difficult, but it adds the element of cooperation into their pieces. JWP Advanced Metal Sculpture class have exhibited their work in the City Art Walking Sculpture tour for the past five years. They have received national recognition for artwork and hope to continue their flourishing program.
